Zerion incubated L2 network Zero Network announced its re-launch on January 18 after being offline for more than three weeks—this time with support from Caldera and ZKsync technical teams.

Speaking of which, this is quite a blow. Even an L2 built with a reputable team and a mature tech stack can be down for so long, indicating that early L2 networks indeed have stability issues. While user funds are safe, operational risks are now front and center.

Currently, the L2 community favors a modular approach, leveraging professional infrastructure service providers to reduce development difficulty, but dependency risks also come with it. For us participants, choosing a network can't be based solely on brand or technical popularity—reliability, operational capability, and risk tolerance must all be considered.
