First in the World! Yushu Robot Walks Over 130,000 Steps in -47.4°C Extreme Cold Environment

On February 1st, Yushu Technology’s humanoid robot G1 completed the world’s first autonomous walking challenge in extreme cold at -47.4°C in Altay, Xinjiang. The robot walked over 130,000 steps without human intervention, covering a total distance of approximately 104 kilometers. Relying on Beidou satellite real-time centimeter-level navigation and embodied intelligent adaptive path planning technology, it precisely drew a winter Olympic-themed snow pattern measuring 186 meters long and 100 meters wide on the snowfield, with an error margin within centimeters.

This challenge broke through the traditional robot working temperature limit of -20°C. With customized low-temperature hardware and biomimetic gait algorithms, it verified the adaptability of domestically produced humanoid robots in extreme environments. It also marks China’s leading position in core fields such as robot servo control and intelligent navigation.

[Institutional Opinions]

Guotai Haitong Securities pointed out that recent breakthroughs in humanoid robot technology worldwide are frequent. New models are released by Figure, Tesla’s mass production plans are announced, domestic pilot platforms and flagship models are launched, accelerating industry deployment.
