POAP Co-Founder and General Manager Isabel announced in a post that POAP will officially enter maintenance mode starting March 16, 2026. From that date onward, new issuers will be unable to access the issuance interface, and the platform will no longer undergo active development. Isabel clarified that existing issuers, already-created POAP collections, collector interfaces, and API integrations will remain unaffected and continue to operate normally. She stated that due to limited growth of the existing platform, the team has decided to concentrate resources on building a new open digital collectibles base layer standard that supports a permissionless model.
