Xinhua News Agency Washington, April 1 — The U.S. Department of the Treasury issued a notice on the 1st, lifting sanctions against Venezuela’s interim President, Delsi Rodriguez.
According to the announcement from the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Rodriguez’s name has been removed from the sanctions list.
On January 3 this year, the U.S. military launched a large-scale military strike against Venezuela, forcibly taking control of President Maduro and his wife and bringing them to the United States. The then Vice President Rodriguez subsequently assumed the acting presidency. Recently, Venezuela and the United States have respectively restored their embassies in each other’s countries. (End)
