CME March cryptocurrency contract daily average trading volume increased by 19%, with a notional value of $7.98 billion

ME News message: On April 2, (UTC+8), the derivatives market Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group (CME Group) announced that in March, the average daily trading volume of cryptocurrency contracts reached 2.1 million contracts, with a notional value of $79.8 billion, up 19%. Among them, the micro Bitcoin futures’ average daily contract trading volume increased by 6%, reaching 770,000 contracts; Ethereum futures’ average daily contract trading volume increased by 53%, reaching 19,000 contracts. In addition, the overall average daily contract trading volume on the CME platform in March reached 41.10 million contracts, setting a new monthly high and up 33%; in the first quarter, the average daily contract trading volume reached 36.20 million contracts, setting a new quarterly high and up 22%.
