Ripple partner Airwallex announced the completion of a $300 million Series F financing (including $150 million in secondary market share transfer financing) at a valuation of $6.2 billion, with participation from Square Peg, DST Global, Lone Pine Capital, Blackbird, Airtree, Salesforce Ventures and a number of Australian pension funds. To date, the company has raised a total of $1.2 billion. It is reported that Airwallex joined the Ripple enterprise blockchain network RippleNet in 2017 to leverage the power of blockchain for the modernization of global payments. As part of RippleNet, the company is also adopting commercial blockchain to provide its clients with a unique global payment experience. Through Airwallex accounts, merchants can securely access a variety of global and local payment methods in a convenient, fast, and cost-effective manner.
