Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin proposed a new roadmap to address Layer-1 scalability issues, including the introduction of the "partial state node" concept. The short-term goal of this roadmap is to limit the historical data stored by nodes to 36 days and develop a distributed historical data storage solution, adjusting the gas price to make storage costs higher and execution costs lower. The long-term goal is to introduce "stateless validation," which is expected to increase the L1 gas limit by 10 to 100 times.
