"Own nothing and be happy" — sounds familiar? That's the future they're selling us. Meanwhile, Web3 flips the script: true ownership, your keys, your assets. No middlemen deciding what you can hold or trade. The irony? While traditional systems push rental economies, crypto hands you the deed. Which world are you betting on?

Well said, but how many people can truly hold the keys? Most are still being played for suckers by the exchange.

Well said, finally someone has pierced this layer of window paper. We have long seen through it, Web3 is just about taking back the discourse power from them. The rental economy model has long been tiresome, holding your own keys is what truly matters.

Well said, this is the true essence of web3. The tricks of "you own nothing" from TradFi have been played for too long, and now there is finally an alternative. Controlling your own Private Key means no one can touch it, and that is what true freedom is.

Uh, let's not talk about Web3 for now. I just want to ask, how many retail investors can really self-custody their keys? Most of them still store them on exchanges, right?

That's true, but how many people can really self-custody... Most people still leave their coins on exchanges, haha.

That being said, where is the real boundary between truly owning assets and being taken advantage of?

I am tired of hearing this phrase, but web3 really makes people see different possibilities. Holding your own keys means not being choked by intermediaries.

To be honest, I am already tired of this "you don't need to own anything" rhetoric, but don't boast too much about Web3 either; there aren't many people who truly hold assets.

Really, you still have to master your Private Key, this is what freedom is called.
