Don't remind me again today

#ETH走势分析 Recently, the Ethereum community has been quite active regarding the Gas limit issue. Educator Anthony Sassano revealed on the Bankless show that raising the Gas limit to 180 million next year is just the beginning; the developers are privately discussing even more aggressive goals, with some wanting to pump it up to five times.

The core team's stance is quite clear: it needs to triple at least in the next few years. How to do it? Sassano mentioned an idea to reprice transaction operations. For example, a regular ETH transfer currently costs 21,000 Gas; if it can be reduced to 6,000, the entire network capacity would immediately increase. Vitalik is also on this side, believing that inefficient operations should incur more costs.

The technical roadmap is already in progress. Sassano and developer Ben Adams have teamed up to write an improvement proposal, aiming to implement it during the Glamsterdam upgrade in the first half of 2026. Currently, the Gas limit has been raised to 60 million, with over 510,000 validators casting votes in favor.

Next week, there will be a Fusaka upgrade going live, focusing on scalability optimization. The Hoodi testnet has already been running since the end of October, and the mainnet will reveal its true capabilities on December 3rd. If this round of technological iteration goes smoothly, the performance ceiling of Layer 1 could be pushed up again.

Another bunch of gas optimization news has come out, sounds pretty amazing, but has it really been implemented...

What kind of nonsense is going on with the gas fee again? Is cutting the transfer fee down to 6000 enough? Are they dreaming or do they really have this ability?

Are we optimizing Gas again? If it could really drop to 6000, I would have been financially free by now, haha.

510,000 validators voted in favor, this data seems a bit questionable, we need to see what the actual participation rate is. The White Paper didn't mention anything about messing around with the Gas mechanism like this.
