Institutional interest in the crypto market continues to grow: JPMorgan is preparing to offer cryptocurrency trading to its clients, while Grayscale is filing for an XRP ETF. XRP demonstrates high liquidity and the status of one of the leading digital assets.
🟣 JPMorgan
The Global Head of Markets and Digital Assets at JPMorgan, Scott Lucas, confirmed plans to launch cryptocurrency trading services. The bank is not considering holding assets directly but is exploring models of "proper crypto custodians" and monitoring the development of stablecoins, including its own deposit token JPMD. JPMorgan's position has evolved after its partnership with Coinbase and a change in CEO Jamie Dimon's approach to blockchain technology.

Grayscale submitted an amendment to Form S-1 for the launch of Grayscale XRP Trust ETF ( ticker GXRP) on NYSE Arca. Institutional investors will be offered indirect access to XRP without direct ownership, with BNY Mellon and Coinbase Custody as service providers. The daily valuation is based on the Coindesk XRP Reference Rate. A regulated XRP ETF could enhance market transparency and expand institutional adoption of XRP.
