A VP at a major cloud provider just dropped a bold take: AI agents might be the most transformative shift we've seen since cloud infrastructure first emerged. That's a massive claim considering how cloud fundamentally rewired the entire tech stack over the past fifteen years. The exec argues these autonomous agents aren't just another feature—they represent a paradigm leap in how systems operate and interact. Worth watching whether this prediction ages like fine wine or milk.

Here we go again, with claims like "this is even more powerful than cloud computing." I'll bet five bucks that in three years this will be a joke, just like the whole metaverse hype back then.
It all sounds impressive, but how many of these can actually be implemented to make real money? Right now, it's just concept stacked on top of concept.
Agents are hot right now, but what that VP is saying is definitely just a new trick from big companies to fleece retail investors. People like us will just keep steadily losing money.
It took cloud computing fifteen years to really mature, and agents are still way too new. It's not too late to wait and see.
But if it really takes off, I'll definitely try to buy the dip again, and continue my life of negative alpha.

Here we go hyping concepts again. Can AI agents really reach the same scale as cloud? Let's solve the hallucination problem first before talking.

NGL, the rhetoric from these cloud computing giants sounds just like the "blockchain will change the world" narrative from a couple of years ago. History is bound to repeat itself, right?

The AI agent is really going to To da moon this time, but cloud computing said the same thing back then...

It’s another moment for a pro to make a statement, but can AI agents really surpass cloud computing? I remain skeptical.

It's another case of a big tech company's executive throwing smoke bombs; I'm already fatigued by the aesthetics of it.

The AI agent is really impressive, but when it comes to reality, it still depends on who can make money first.

Ngl, this guy has some points, but back during the cloud infrastructure hype, it was also all talk, wasn't it? Now look, they're still struggling because of AI.
