Ethereum pulled off a double surprise last night: both technology and the market exploded together.

In the early hours, the 17th mainnet upgrade "Fusaka" officially went live. This one is special—not even seven months since the Pectra upgrade in May this year, Ethereum has directly cut the traditional "annual major update" rhythm in half, moving to a hard fork every six months. Consensys has already made it clear: from now on, they'll stick to this pace and won't take it slow anymore.

The price hasn't been idle either. ETH broke through the $3,200 mark and is still hovering steadily around that level. With the technical upgrade paired with the price surge, market sentiment has definitely been ignited.

Looking back, since the Merge in 2022, Ethereum has maintained a steady pace of one upgrade per year—Shapella in 2023, Pectra in 2024, each one meticulously crafted. But this Fusaka upgrade brings more than just an adjustment to the schedule. It includes nine core EIPs and four accompanying proposals, making it one of the largest in Ethereum's history. The most noteworthy is the PeerDAS technology: it can significantly improve data availability and pricing efficiency, representing a qualitative leap for network scalability and user experience.

Moving from annual to semi-annual upgrades reflects the team's accelerated response to performance bottlenecks and security issues. Once this pace stabilizes, Layer 2 projects and decentralized application development will have more room to grow.

Now that ETH is stuck at the $3,200 level, will it continue to break out, or will the upgrade news trigger some profit-taking? What do you think?

A hard fork every six months? That's intense, Ethereum is really stepping on the gas.

Got liquidated again. This time, I tried to catch the bottom at 3180 and got force liquidated... Seeing ETH break through 3200 just numbs me. Hindsight is priceless.

Updating once every six months and taking off directly, I like this pace. ETH is finally getting serious, PeerDAS is indeed impressive this time, breaking through 3200 is just the beginning, right?

Updating only once every six months? Just speed up and get on board. This wave of PeerDAS is truly awesome.
