Lindsay Fraser from Uniswap to Serve as Chief Policy Officer of the Blockchain Association

The Blockchain Association has hired Lindsay Fraser from Uniswap Labs as Head of Policy Affairs to advance the establishment of a regulatory framework for the crypto market. Fraser will focus on the progress of market structure bills, stablecoin legislation, and crypto tax policy to promote related discussions.

PANews reported on December 5, citing CoinDesk, that as the crypto industry urges the US Congress to take recent action on a bill to establish a regulatory framework for digital asset markets, the Blockchain Association has appointed Lindsay Fraser of Uniswap Labs to lead its policy affairs.

Fraser previously handled policy affairs for Uniswap during a time when the industry was struggling with how the US government would address DeFi issues. Now, she will take on broader responsibilities for the association’s 146 member companies, though she says her DeFi experience will help advance related discussions.

In an interview, Fraser stated that the association is one of the leading industry advocacy groups in Washington and will closely monitor the market structure bill currently being negotiated in the Senate, the implementation of the stablecoin legislation established earlier this year, and the future direction of US crypto tax policy.
