How did the French version come about? Did they somehow get it from France? I understand the budget is limited, but as long as it’s not a pirated print, there shouldn’t be any problem with it being genuine, right?

The French version is fine too, after all, the paper is the same... But why does it look a bit flimsy? Are you sure it hasn't been unsealed before?

The French version is fine too; the key is the anti-counterfeiting features and whether the paper texture feels right.

The first edition in French is also authentic, and besides, this kind of limited edition is even rarer. You definitely got your money’s worth, bro.
