This whole thing isn't really about AlignerZ the way people are framing it. Either I'm completely missing the point, or folks are misunderstanding something fundamental.
Honestly? Go read the AlignerZ Labs whitepaper. Seriously. A lot of the answers are right there in the documentation. It might clear up what's actually going on versus what people think is happening.
