Anyone else noticing that Twitter search is getting progressively worse? The quality of results has taken a nosedive lately. Used to be you could find relevant tweets pretty easily, but now? It's become hit or miss at best. Seems like the algorithm changes are working against users who actually want to discover meaningful conversations. Curious if anyone else is experiencing the same frustration with the search functionality.

Honestly, Twitter search has become trash; it's better to just use the recommendations from the GM community.

The search function is essentially a retention indicator for users. A decline indicates that the platform is optimizing its business model rather than the user experience. This logic has long been signaling.

The algorithms are getting more and more outrageous; the search results are just a bunch of nonsense.

ngl Twitter search is now just garbage, it's really getting harder to use after the redesign.

empirically speaking, this is exactly what happens when you sacrifice protocol health for engagement metrics. the data suggests search algorithms optimized purely for time-on-platform destroy signal quality. it's decentralization theater applied backwards—centralized systems making worse choices than transparent governance would allow.
