Anyone who jumped out of Canadian oil and gas positions based on that Venezuela situation? Chances are you're sitting on losses right now.

The market moved on the headline, but the fundamentals never really followed through. Classic retail panic at work. Those who held through the noise are actually up. Lesson here: headline-driven trades rarely age well when you check back weeks later.

Running away as soon as headlines come out—that's a common problem among retail investors. I can imagine how uncomfortable those who panic-sold Canadian oil and gas are feeling right now...

Clickbait really harms people. My friends directly cut their losses because of that wave of news about Venezuela, now they are bleeding heavily. The fundamentals haven't changed at all, but they were driven by emotion.

Haha, this is a common problem among retail investors—getting panicked and making irrational decisions just after reading a news article...

Retail investors are really easy to get scared out of the market. One news report and they panic and make reckless decisions, ending up getting trapped haha
