There's a somewhat harsh idea—

Seeing that news about trust products, my first reaction isn't positive; instead, I see it as a kind of stress test.

The reason is simple: once WAL is treated as an "asset" for allocation, the market's focus completely shifts. No longer discussing how strong the technology is or how active the ecosystem is, the questions all boil down to—can you be held long-term? Are you just another emotion-driven token?

This is the most critical for infrastructure projects.

Walrus is essentially a storage network; storage is a cost item. And what do costs fear the most? Volatility. Developers don't care about WAL's price fluctuations; they just want to know: "If I use your service this year, are the fees stable?"

If WAL becomes increasingly driven by emotions and trading, it's not a plus for genuine users but a burden.

So the key point to watch is—can WAL maintain a relatively stable usage attribute, rather than becoming purely a trading target? The Grayscale news isn't a sign of takeoff; it's an exam.

If you answer well, WAL can be priced long-term; if not, it will just be another coin.

What do you think?

To be honest, this perspective really hits the nail on the head. The biggest fear for storage networks is that the token price becomes the main focus, while stability in costs becomes a secondary concern. If Grayscale is truly just attracting a wave of traders, it could actually be a disaster for the developer ecosystem.

To be honest, this perspective is really heartbreaking... If WAL is truly turned into a pure trading product by wealth management, developers will actually face a nightmare.

Basically, it's about whether Walrus can withstand the temptation of institutional entry and not be turned into a purely trading coin. Cost stability is the critical threshold for survival.

That was a really harsh statement, but it indeed hits the nail on the head. Storage cost fluctuations are inherently at odds with the nature of infrastructure.
