Gold price trends usually first surge to a relatively high level, then oscillate back and forth here, and the market gradually chooses a direction.

Speaking of this wave of gold price increase, many people habitually rely on safe-haven assets. But think carefully, if it were truly driven by safe-haven demand, why did other metals and energy commodities also surge dramatically? They don't have any safe-haven halo. Conversely, the dividends from the energy sector's explosion were already realized in the commodity market in advance, and gold also caught this ride. Geopolitical turmoil indeed has a driving effect, but at most it is a supporting role.

In the short term, it is difficult for gold to break out of a downward trend. The market needs time to digest and adapt to this price level, and high-level oscillation is part of this process. Once the oscillation is sufficient, there will be a shakeout and plunge. So whether it is overbought now or not, this period is just a phase of repeatedly grinding the bottom.

Basically, it's a grindstone, don't worry.

High-level oscillation and bottoming out, this routine is old news. It all depends on who can hold out until the shakeout moment. Golden cars powered by energy? I need to see how other cryptocurrencies are moving. The idea of safe-haven is outdated; it's really just overall commodity speculation. Waiting to see a plunge; anyway, I've already lost what I could. Energy dividends have been realized; how much longer can gold resist?

Based on on-chain commodity futures data, this hypothesis is actually full of flaws. Why is the risk aversion blame solely placed on gold? The fact that energy commodities and metals are linked already demonstrates what resonance effects mean in Token Economics. From a governance perspective, high-level oscillations are just the market's pricing mechanism seeking equilibrium. The bottoming phase is basically a false proposition unless we first define what "sufficient" means. In the short term, it is indeed difficult to fall, but the confidence level of this judgment needs to be further lowered.
