Understanding Block Orders and Order Blocks in Trading

Got confused about block orders disappearing from your charts? Here's what you need to know. Block orders—those substantial limit orders placed at key price levels—often get hidden from standard order book displays. Exchanges use this feature to prevent market manipulation and reduce front-running risks.

But here's where order blocks come in. In technical analysis, order blocks refer to price zones where significant institutional buying or selling previously occurred. These areas act as support or resistance levels, and smart traders use them to predict future price action.

The trick? Learn to identify where these blocks form during market moves, especially on higher timeframes. When price returns to these zones, you'll often see rejection or breakthrough patterns. Track accumulation areas after sharp sell-offs, and distribution zones after strong rallies—that's where the real opportunities hide.

Start mapping order blocks on your 4H or daily charts. You'll spot patterns others miss.

Wow, someone finally explained it clearly. I was confused by the block orders on the chart before... Turns out exchanges hide them intentionally to prevent market manipulation, which makes sense. Order blocks, to put it simply, are traces of the big players. Looking at 4H and daily charts, you can indeed catch some bottoms... I've been testing it recently, and it's quite accurate. But just identifying these support and resistance levels isn't enough. The key still depends on Bitcoin's mood. Sometimes it just breaks through directly, making order blocks useless...

Honestly, after watching for a while, I'm still a bit confused. The concept of order block seems to be understood differently by everyone.

ngl the "smart traders" narrative is kinda weak here... institutionals literally just dump liquidity pools anyway lmao

Ha, it's the same old story... When block order goes stealth, my charts get completely confused. Luckily, someone explained it. Those tricky moves by institutions are really hard to defend against.
