Recently, I looked at some industry analyses and discovered an interesting phenomenon—true MEME coins that can survive one or two complete cycles are never just air projects.

Taking DOGE, SHIB, and PEPE as examples, why have they persisted until now? After careful consideration, it all boils down to a few points. First is the endorsement issue. DOGE has continued attention from influential figures, SHIB has a certain level of recognition within the community, and PEPE has maintained popularity due to community enthusiasm. These are not appearances out of nowhere; they are genuine market feedback.

Secondly, it's about time. Projects that can survive a bear market usually have real community support and are not just flash-in-the-pan. Coins that disappear after three or five months essentially lack a solid consensus foundation. In contrast, those that survive have communities that keep building and discussing, which is the confidence to traverse cycles.

Another often overlooked point is the community's self-sustaining ability. Truly vibrant MEME coin communities are always driving themselves forward and improving themselves, rather than relying on a single source of promotion. The cultural accumulation of DOGE, the ecosystem expansion of SHIB, and the creative cultural continuity of PEPE are all results of active community contributions.

In essence, the coins that survive are fundamentally about time accumulation and genuine consensus. Both are hard to fake and hard to rush. So when evaluating projects, instead of focusing on short-term hype fluctuations, it's better to look at community activity and project sustainability.
MEME-5,11%
DOGE-4,75%
SHIB-3,65%
PEPE-5,18%

The statement is correct, but this logic also seems to apply to 99% of projects in the crypto circle. Don't overhype MEME coins. Persisting = having consensus is still too absolute a conclusion. However, speaking of self-sustaining, the old dinosaurs like DOGE do have some substance, but what about the new ones? It's hard to judge. PEPE community is hot, but true skill is maintaining it through several cycles. It's too early to draw conclusions now. Instead of looking at activity levels, it's better to see if there are practical applications. What can community discussions translate into?

Consensus mechanisms can't be faked; the data speaks for itself. Projects that have survived two cycles have community node densities in place, and the cost of faking is too high.

Let's put it this way, the community's self-sustaining ability is the real deal. Hotness can be blown up, but those that can't survive two bear markets are just paper tigers. Wait, if you think about it the other way around, weren't those early believers also cut multiple times before they made it to now? Haha. Ultimately, it's about consensus. You can't rush it, and you can't fake it. Either you have it or you don't. Honestly, I think the most outrageous thing is PEPE's continued creativity. The community's imagination really has no peers. I want to see how many of the current "star coins" will be weeded out in the next bear market... Talking about crossing cycles is easy, but projects that truly do it are few and far between. Most just got lucky and hit the right trend. This article has some substance. Finally, someone explained it thoroughly. Not all meme coins are trash. The question is, how do you tell the difference? Community self-motivation is indeed key. It's ten times more useful than a team just hyping itself. DOGE has set a good example in this regard.

Exactly right, only communities that can sustain self-reliance are truly valuable. DOGE's survival until now really depends on the community hype; no one is supporting it anymore, yet it’s getting stronger and stronger. How to tell? Check if there are people in the community chatting casually every day, rather than just official promotions. Short-term hype can be driven by anyone, but those who can survive a full bear market... truly have something real. PEPE is able to persist this time because of continuous creative content; this thing just can't stop. Honestly, time is the best filter. If something disappears in three or five months, I’m too lazy even to look at it. The self-improvement of communities really hits me; the SHIB group is indeed working seriously on the ecosystem, unlike most that are just empty talk. Consensus can't be forced; either it exists or it doesn't. It won't fool people for long.
