Thinking about directing your capital toward environmental impact? Here's a take that might shake things up: ESG funds might not be the move you're looking for. The reality is more nuanced than the marketing suggests—if genuine environmental outcomes matter to you, you might need to look beyond traditional ESG products and consider where your money actually flows in this space.

The ESG rhetoric is indeed a bit misleading; I only recently realized it myself.

I'm tired of this ESG hype; the marketing is so flashy, but where's the money? It's long been flowing elsewhere.

NGL, the ESG talk has long been exposed. Basically, it's just a new way to harvest retail investors.

How many people are fooled by this ESG greenwashing tactic? The places where real money is invested are actually being hidden.

ESG funds are just financial products disguised as environmental protection. Do they really think they can change the Earth? I've been burned once and it wasn't enough. I went all in on ESG concept stocks, and as a result, the borrowing rate skyrocketed, leading to a forced liquidation... I wish I had known earlier. Instead of being brainwashed by marketing, it's better to thoroughly research the actual flow of funds.

That ESG thing is just a scam, it's all greenwashing.
