OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Translate — an autonomous translation tool. It supports over 50 languages and appears to be a direct competitor to Google’s counterpart.

ChatGPT Translate can work with text, voice, and images, but currently does not support entire websites and documents, unlike Google Translate.
In the PC version, OpenAI’s service can only translate text. The mobile browser supports microphone input.
ChatGPT Translate includes several presets for managing style, such as “make the text more formal for business communication.”
The standard ChatGPT chatbot has long supported translation features. The new release is simply the launch of the tool as an additional web service. There is no separate app available in the Apple Store and Google Play yet.
OpenAI has not made an official announcement about the new solution and has not disclosed which AI model it is based on.
Recall that in January, the company introduced ChatGPT Health — a specialized section for health consultations.
