Platform X recently adjusted its developer API policy, saying no to applications that attract traffic by rewarding users for posting. Especially those crypto applications that promote the "infofi" concept are also within the scope of the crackdown. The platform stated that it has revoked API access for these applications. The official reason given is straightforward: to combat spam replies and the proliferation of AI-generated content. This move signifies that applications relying on the "post and earn" model to attract users face a reshuffling of the ecosystem. For Web3 projects that depend on social platform incentive mechanisms, this is undoubtedly a signal that needs to be taken seriously.

The posting and earning model has finally been cut, it was about time. The flood of garbage content is really annoying. --- Who is infofi fooling? In the end, it's just a pile of rubbish. --- Damn, now those incentive applications in the crypto space need to think of new ways to survive. --- X's move this time was correct. The AI spam comments are indeed ridiculously numerous. --- It's a bit unfortunate, but users built on reward stacking were never sustainable to begin with. --- Basically, it's all an illusion of traffic. Shut down the API and everything falls apart. --- Web3 projects should wake up. Relying on platform charity won't last long.

Damn, this bunch of people making money by posting should have been dealt with long ago. My Twitter is now full of trash AI copy-paste.

It's really a one-size-fits-all approach, even infofi got caught in the crossfire, hilarious. --- It was about time to regulate it. Every day full of robot spam replies, spamming screens is so annoying. --- Making money just by posting is not sustainable, and now being suppressed by the official is not surprising. --- Another wave of Web3 projects will undergo reshuffling. The get-rich-quick model will eventually be dealt with. --- I support xAI in fighting spam content, but don’t cut off genuine applications along with it. --- Is infofi dead? Are people still using these things? --- This move is pretty harsh, directly revoking API permissions. Looks like X is not joking. --- The path to earning money by posting is getting narrower. How many people are still sticking to this approach? --- Forget it, incentive mechanisms tend to breed spam, I can understand the platform’s actions. --- Now Web3 project teams have to rethink their business models. Relying on the platform is unreliable.

It has long been time to regulate. Those "post and earn" schemes are just creating spam content. --- The concept of infofi has always been a bit shaky, and now being cracked down on is well-deserved. --- I agree with this move by X. Spamming with bots is really annoying. --- Projects that rely on incentive mechanisms to attract traffic should reflect on this. This is a clear signal, brother. --- Revoking API permissions is a tough move, but it might not be a bad thing for the ecosystem. --- Another wave of projects is about to be wiped out. Why is Web3's incentive theory so hard to implement? --- Spam content is everywhere. X finally took action—better late than never.

The "post to earn" model has finally been shut down. It should have happened earlier, or else the feed would be full of spam.
