The era of incentivized posting on X platform has basically come to an end. Product lead Nikita Bier recently announced that third-party applications can no longer attract users to post on X through reward mechanisms, meaning that the InfoFi model has officially been halted. The reason is simple—these incentives have led to an influx of low-quality AI-generated content and spam replies, severely degrading the platform experience. As a result, API permissions for related applications have been revoked. It seems that content quality and ecosystem health remain the top priorities for X. This adjustment has a significant impact on applications that rely on reward mechanisms to attract users, and the entire third-party ecosystem will need to rethink how to operate.

It should have been regulated long ago; there's a lot of trash content under those incentive mechanisms.

It should have been cut long ago, that bunch of incentive mechanisms is just a trash heap. --- Is InfoFi dead? Good riddance, I didn't make much anyway. --- Finally someone is taking care of this mess, the AI spam flooding the screens is really disgusting. --- Now third parties should be panicking, those surviving on rewards are all going to fail. --- Basically, it's just the end of a gimmick, a reset of the ecosystem. --- It's great to stop it, but the question is what constitutes high-quality content? --- I knew that model would eventually cool down, and now it has. --- That damn incentive mechanism has finally been shut down, thumbs up. --- Wait, after this wave of adjustments, can it really be good, or is it just another way to cut the leeks? --- Once API permissions are revoked, how many projects will have to gg? This just got interesting.

It should have been cut long ago; the InfoFi approach is purely for scamming retail investors.
