You'd never catch certain historical topics gaining any real traction on mainstream social platforms these days. The algorithms and content policies have gotten so strict that whole swaths of historical discussion just get buried or throttled. It's an interesting question about what actually gets amplified versus what stays invisible in the feed.

Algorithms are just like dice; the amount of history filtered out is probably greater than what has been passed down.

Algorithm dictatorship, even history has to kneel... These days, everything can be buried; if you're unhappy, you just disappear from the feed.

Algorithm review is really outrageous. Certain historical topics are suppressed as soon as they are mentioned, and there's no opportunity for discussion. The feed always shows only the "allowed" content, and everything else has disappeared.

the feed's just running a massive clustering algorithm at this point—certain narratives get whale'd into visibility while others get liquidated before anyone notices. pattern's been there since day one tbh, it's just the statistical significance hitting different now

Algorithms are really good at scrutiny; if you dare to mess with them, you'll sink immediately.

Algorithm review is really outrageous. Some historical topics just can't get on the trending list no matter what. The platform says it's for "safety," but it's actually just censorship of speech.
