I received an urgent call early in the morning. A trader from Jiangxi was very distressed: "I went all-in with 10,000 USDT at 10x leverage, and just a 3% pullback wiped out my account. How is that possible?"

Looking at his trading record, I saw he had gone all-in with 9,500 USDT without even setting a stop-loss.

Too many people interpret "full position" as "I can bear the maximum risk," but in reality, it's the exact opposite—using full leverage incorrectly leads to the fastest ruin.

**Position size is the real culprit behind liquidation**

For the same 1,000 USDT account:
- Using 900 USDT at 10x leverage, a 5% adverse move will wipe out the account
- Using 100 USDT at 10x leverage, it takes a 50% adverse move to get liquidated

That friend put 95% of his principal into one trade; a slight pullback and it was gone— the problem is never the leverage multiplier but the position size ratio.

**Three ironclad rules to keep full positions stable and growing**

1. No single position should exceed 20% of total funds

For a 10,000 USDT account, the maximum per trade is 2,000 USDT. Even with a 10% stop-loss, only 200 USDT is lost, leaving the principal intact and ready to adjust strategies at any time.

2. The maximum loss per trade is 3% of the total position

For example, with 2,000 USDT at 10x leverage, setting a 1.5% stop-loss results in a 300 USDT loss, which is exactly 3% of the total funds. Even a few consecutive wrong trades won't cause serious damage.

3. Do not trade sideways; do not add to profits

Only enter positions when a clear trend breaks out. During volatile sideways markets, stay on the sidelines; once in a position, strictly follow the plan without emotional interference.

**The true meaning of full position**

The essence of the full position mechanism is to reserve room for volatility, but only if combined with light position testing and strict risk control.

A follower once kept blowing up his account every month. After following these three rules, he managed to grow from 5,000 USDT to 8,000 USDT in three months. He later said, "I used to think full position was gambling my life, but now I understand—full position is about living more steadily."

In the crypto world, the competition isn't about who makes money faster, but who survives longer. Reduce overconfidence in directional judgment, increase reverence for position management—slow is the real fast.

Oh wow, going all-in at 95% without stopping loss is just asking for death Pushing all in at once is definitely faster than anything else — quickly back to zero Position management is truly the art of survival, not gambling

This guy going all-in at 95% is really reckless, totally playing with fire. Honestly, opening leverage without setting stop-losses is not trading, it's gambling. Position management really needs to be strictly enforced, otherwise no matter how much money you have, you can't withstand it. Those three rules are actually the bottom line for survival; as long as you don't lose money, you won't die. It may seem a bit harsh, but this is the survival rule in the crypto world.

What the heck, no stop-loss on the 9500U all-in? This guy really wants to experience the ultimate joy of full position trading. I only just now truly understand the importance of position management. I used to go all-in on impulse. After reading these three ironclad rules, I think they are more reliable than any "trading secret" I've heard before... Honestly, living longer is the most important. This case is a bit harsh, but it really woke me up. --- Another story of "My analysis skills can handle 10x leverage," laugh and cry. It's really a mindset issue; watching a sideways market without action is just too difficult. --- After careful analysis, I realize that these three ironclad rules hinge on the numbers 20% and 3%. They are not empty words. I’ll try to adjust my strategy based on this framework and see if I can progress from a rookie to someone who knows how to cut the leek. --- I need to tattoo the phrase "Slow is truly fast" on my brain. I used to often fail for the hundredfold opportunity, and now I finally understand why living longer is more valuable than getting rich overnight.

9500U all-in without stop loss, how ruthless is that --- Basically, using the entire position as a gambling tool --- That guy really deserved it this time, didn’t set a stop loss --- Position management is indeed underestimated; leverage isn’t the core issue --- I’ve also suffered this loss, now I limit each trade to a maximum of 2000U, and my sleep quality has directly improved --- Not trading during sideways movement is a rule I must remember well, I often get itchy hands --- In the crypto world, living is more important than making money --- From 5000 to 8000, it’s been three months of hardship, but it’s definitely more comfortable than monthly explosions --- Those who understand risk control have survived; those who don’t have probably never seen what three months later looks like --- The most critical thing is to cut losses when you see the wrong direction; many people die because they stubbornly hold on

Haha, same old story. Still not stopping the 9500U all-in? Your brain really isn’t worth much. --- Basically, it’s greed taking over. Even if I set a stop-loss, no one really executes it. --- If I had followed a 20% stop-loss, my funds would have doubled long ago, but I just can’t control my hands. --- That’s why I’m now using small positions for trial and error—only by surviving can I keep earning. --- I remember the 3% stop-loss line, next time I’ll definitely... maybe I’ll still go all-in. --- Feels like I’ve written everything right, but when it comes to actual trading, I still break my rules. This disease is incurable.

actually, the math checks out—0.95 leverage ratio on a 10x long is just asking for a liquidation cascade. what gets me is the missing stop loss, like dude, that's not trading, that's just gambling with extra steps.
