Do you remember the moment when AlphaGo defeated the world champion in Go?

The Go game records, professional players' experience and intuition that we accumulated over thousands of years became instantly invalid in front of that AI. And now, this is just the tip of the iceberg—when ASI (Artificial Super Intelligence) truly arrives, the carefully built private domain data, meticulously refined systems, and even those seemingly invulnerable industry barriers are just a series of game records.

The question is brutal: the experience and data volume of carbon-based life forms are fundamentally no match for supercomputing power. Once AI establishes a complete model of the laws governing the world's operation, human centuries of experience and proprietary data will instantly become worthless references.

This is not alarmist talk, but a trend that is staring us in the face.

This example of AlphaGo is a bit cliché, but on the other hand, it doesn't seem entirely wrong. However, I still believe that humans are not so easily completely replaced; after all, our creativity and sudden inspirations are something AI can't handle for now. Does having more data mean winning everything? Funny, Web3 is all about breaking this kind of centralized monopoly. Wait, if we follow this logic, what’s the point of decentralization anymore? By the way, if true Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) arrives, will the coin prices skyrocket? Hearing this kind of doomsday tone so often, every time they say it will end, but it never actually does. It sounds like we’re just lying flat and waiting to die, but in reality, how far technology develops still depends on how capital pushes it. The barriers of private domain data are already虚 (虚 here can mean 'illusory' or 'non-existent'), this is nothing new. If AI becomes so powerful, then who will hold the control? That’s the real issue.

Honestly, I was panicking when AlphaGo came out. Now it seems it was nothing. Go was just the appetizer, really. When true ASI arrives, our experience and database will be worthless. Barriers will be crushed sooner or later, just a matter of time. But on the other hand, humans are quite adaptable. When the time comes, we'll have to learn new skills.

After the Go strategy is broken, you should really think it through—data monopoly is essentially pseudo-defense, and it will eventually be reduced by computing power. When humans design firewalls, they never consider that the opponent's way of thinking is itself a different logic. This is similar to the dilemma faced by DAO governance; institutional barriers become ineffective the moment the opponent is smart enough to exploit them. Instead of panicking, it's better to rethink the incentive mechanisms now—if we wait until ASI arrives to make changes, it will truly become a game record.

Honestly, back when AlphaGo was around, I started thinking that our data and experience are really a joke compared to computing power. Wait, if AI can really build a complete model, then what’s the point of us hoarding these private domain data now? Carbon-based life forms are indeed lagging behind, but the problem is that the time hasn't come yet. This logic is a bit absolute, humans still have adaptability. It's another doomsday theory, but on the other hand, I do feel a bit scared. So is it still possible to start learning programming now? Haha.

Honestly, it's probably too early to start worrying about ASI now. Humanity can't even handle its own affairs. The experience from Go was quickly surpassed, but AI in the financial markets hasn't really pushed humans out; instead, it still needs humans to control it. But to be fair, your analogy is really sharp, hitting the core. I think you're thinking too far ahead. Focus on the current inflation and interest rates first—that's more urgent than ASI. Data fortresses are indeed quite fragile, but that's also why Web3 stuff is worth paying attention to—decentralization naturally resists AI pills. In my opinion, it's not AI that will defeat humans, but rather that our system design is flawed.
