Dusk Network is redefining privacy public chains with a complete technology stack. The underlying layer uses PLONK zero-knowledge proofs and SBA consensus mechanism to ensure transaction privacy while maintaining network security.
Most importantly, the RUSK privacy smart contract platform and Piecrust ZK virtual machine directly support confidential transaction execution — this is not post-privacy, but native privacy. Many financial applications have been seeking such solutions.
The architecture design is also interesting. DuskDS is responsible for the settlement layer, while DuskEVM handles the execution layer. The separation offers the benefits of modular scalability, allowing applications in different scenarios to be flexibly adapted. Compared to some general-purpose public chains, this separation architecture indeed has advantages in balancing privacy and compliance.
In simple terms, DUSK@E5@ aims to enable financial applications to no longer see privacy protection and regulatory compliance as mutually exclusive.

Native privacy is truly better, much stronger than those after-the-fact patches.

I believe in native privacy; financial scenarios indeed require this kind of feature. However, how does a multi-layered architecture ensure it won't be bypassed by auditing mechanisms?

ngl the layered architecture thing is actually smart, not just another "privacy theater" like we saw back in the LUNA days. but here's what keeps me up—statistically speaking, how many of these zk solutions actually survive regulatory scrutiny? reminds me of every "compliant privacy" pitch that went sideways. risk-adjusted returns on this thesis are... unclear at best.
