Yesterday, I met an OG in the crypto circle, who bought BTC in 2014 and has held it ever since, semi-retired for many years.

He asked me what people in the crypto world have been playing with these past two years.

I talked from the BTC ecosystem to meme coins, from RWA to PayFi, from AI to x402, from Perp DEX to prediction markets, covering all the hot tracks in the crypto space.

After I finished, the big shot sighed and said: "Really admire you poor guys, although you haven't made much money, you really understand a lot!"

This is the curse of knowledge: the more you understand, the more it often means you "can't hold on."

Why do "poor guys" understand more? Because they are poor, so they want to turn things around, and they want to seize every hundredfold opportunity.

Why does knowing more sometimes mean you don't make big money? Because "knowing" is the enemy of "faith."
