Global trade is hitting a crossroads. The multilateral relationships and rules-based systems that once anchored the world economy are fracturing—and the U.S. isn't immune to this erosion.

What's the fallout? Less free trade. Way less. What we're seeing instead is a surge in tariff-driven trade, more restrictions, more barriers. The open trade environment that fueled growth for decades is basically being dismantled.

This shift matters big time for markets. When trade flows get restricted and tariffs spike, capital gets repriced. Asset allocation changes. The macro backdrop for risk assets fundamentally shifts. That's the environment we're operating in now—one where protectionism isn't the exception, it's becoming the norm.

In this trade war situation, really no one can escape... Asset allocation should have been reorganized long ago.

NGL, the trade war has become so intense that even a free market is useless... Asset allocation needs to be reshuffled accordingly.

Protectionism is really becoming the norm, and once again, the play of asset re-pricing is about to unfold.

Yeah, this trade war really follows a three-year cycle. History always repeats itself. I remember back in 2008, it was the same way, and in the end, it just rebounded... Anyway, I'm not afraid haha. The key is the timing of the bottoming out. The more aggressive protectionism gets, the more excited I am. The opportunity is here, friends.

Tariffs are getting crazier and crazier; now I have to rethink my entire asset allocation.

Trade wars are just reshuffling the deck; no one can expect to stay unaffected.
