Walrus Protocol has indeed come up with some new ideas in decentralized custody. Recently, after their wal.app portal update, the experience of uploading and building sites has been upgraded—object IDs are synchronized globally, truly zero-server architecture, and ownership can be transferred like NFTs, with strong anti-crash capabilities.

Looking at how the Flatland game and Snowreads ecosystem applications run, it’s clear that they support seamless migration from Sui, Ethereum, to Solana. The cost levels are comparable to traditional Web2, but their resilience against censorship is on a completely different level.

What’s interesting about this model is—it’s not just static storage like IPFS, but dynamically designed permissions that truly turn content into assets for flow. Artistic works and health data can be managed programmably, bridging the ease of use of Web2 with the ownership guarantees of Web3.

If you're interested, you can try building a small site to experience it, and there’s quite a bit of community discussion. The potential for this borderless application is quite large, and it’s worth paying more attention to their technological iterations.

Zero-server architecture sounds good, but in real use, will it still rely on a certain node for fallback...

Zero-server architecture sounds good, but can it really run stably, or is it just another PPT project...

This Walrus's dynamic permission system is indeed quite impressive, much more robust than the IPFS setup.

Zero-server architecture sounds impressive, but few products can truly stay stable without crashing. Is Walrus reliable this time?
