Bitchat, the decentralized messaging app launched by Jack Dorsey, is experiencing a surge in Uganda right now. As internet outages increase in the country, this Web3 platform is gradually establishing itself as an essential communication tool during times of crisis.

The phenomenon is not new: already popular in Iran and Nepal, Bitchat proves that decentralized solutions meet a real need when traditional infrastructure becomes unstable. Without relying on a centralized authority, the platform allows users to stay connected even in the absence of a traditional internet network.

This is a textbook case for understanding how blockchain is deployed concretely, not just as a speculative technology, but as a means of communication autonomy in vulnerable regions.

This thing has really reached a critical moment; decentralized communication is finally no longer just talk on paper.

Really, decentralization is the way to go. Even if the network is down, we can still chat. This is the proper way to play with blockchain, not the hype of trading coins.

What Jack Dorsey is doing is truly different; this time, it really hits the pain point. Uganda, Iran, and Nepal are all using it, indicating that decentralized communication is not just hype but a real demand.

Uganda now really has to rely on Bitchat to survive. When the internet is down, this is what they have to use. Jack Dorsey made the right move.

Oh my god, what is Jack Dorsey up to now? I just saw that Bitchat in Uganda is trending. Wait, this thing has been used in Iran and Nepal for a while? How did I just find out? I really am late to the game. So you can still chat when there's no internet? This must be the legendary blockchain savior... sounds pretty awesome. Really? It can still be used offline? I need to try it out. This is what true application implementation looks like, not those things that only hype up.
