Tried to pay back my buddy for dinner with USDC the other day. He works in crypto too, so I figured why not, right? Nope. His response was instant: "Absolutely not. Use Venmo." 😂 The irony wasn't lost on me—here's someone literally working in crypto, and he'd rather stick with traditional fintech. Pretty telling about where we actually are with mainstream adoption of stablecoins for everyday payments.

Haha, that's ridiculous. Even people in the industry don't use stablecoins for payments.

honestly this tracks... technically speaking, venmo's just optimized for friction removal at this point. usdc requires actual infrastructure that most people don't have set up. the irony is real but the math checks out—convenience beats ideological purity like 99% of the time. adoption isn't about being right, it's about being easier. that's the hard proof we keep ignoring.

Haha, this is really quite ironic. Crypto people are actually using Venmo, which shows that stablecoins still need to wait a bit longer.
