#Strategy加仓BTC Will the personnel upheaval at the Federal Reserve rewrite the liquidity story of the crypto market?

The recent script in Washington’s financial circle has been quite exciting—rumors of a change in Fed Chair are heating up, with former board member Kevin Wirth emerging as a top candidate, with a winning probability now at 61%. This potential successor’s governing style is interesting: advocating for rate cuts to stimulate the economy while also criticizing quantitative easing policies.

His possible approach might be a "rate cut + balance sheet reduction" combo—both releasing liquidity to boost growth and tightening the balance sheet to focus on fighting inflation. If this dual strategy is implemented, the flow of funds in global capital markets could undergo a major reshuffle.

Market intuition has already responded. During the period when Wirth’s probability of rising increases, US stocks and gold have experienced noticeable volatility, and the dollar has come under pressure. Risk assets like $BTC and $ETH have also seen increased volatility recently, with changes in liquidity expectations directly reflected in price movements.

But the reality is, individual power is limited. The dovish faction within the FOMC is already small, and with December’s inflation data still at 2.7%, inflation pressures have not been fully alleviated. The candidates Trump wants to push forward still face legal and international public opinion hurdles—many central banks are rallying for the Fed’s independence.

The key question is: will this upheaval first trigger a gold safe-haven rally, or will it initially cause liquidity shocks to risk assets? Is Wirth’s rise an accelerator for the market, or a new source of uncertainty? How do you see this move in your trading strategies?

Lowering interest rates + shrinking the balance sheet sounds like a conflicting combination. I really can't understand what Wosh is trying to do.

Lowering interest rates + shrinking the balance sheet sounds very contradictory; it feels like wanting both but not wanting both, and in the end, ending up with nothing.

Lowering interest rates + shrinking the balance sheet—this combo is easy to talk about but hard to implement; it feels like just armchair strategizing.

Lowering interest rates + shrinking the balance sheet, this combination sounds so awkward to me... If it really happens, can BTC withstand the impact?
