The service deployment strategy follows a phased geographic rollout. Initial operations commenced on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi’s leisure and entertainment corridor, which serves as the foundation for broader market penetration. Subsequent phases will extend service coverage to Reem Island, Al Maryah Island, and Saadiyat Island, with ambitions to eventually blanket the entire emirate.

A critical turning point occurred in November 2025 when Baidu and AutoGo secured one of Abu Dhabi’s inaugural permits for fully autonomous commercial ride hailing operations. The partnership officially commenced in March 2025, with the permit achievement nine months later demonstrating rapid progress from collaboration launch to operational authorization. The driverless ride hailing service is exclusively accessible through the AutoGo mobile application, streamlining user access to the autonomous vehicle fleet.
