Techub News reports that, according to The Block, Kristin Smith, Director of the Solana Policy Research Institute, and CEO Miller Whitehouse-Levine stated in a public letter that the Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm case "is not an isolated controversy." The two called on the U.S. Congress to provide stronger legal protections for software developers when considering relevant legislation, to address the potential impact of the guilty verdict in this case. The report states that since the case has progressed, advocates in the crypto industry have raised millions of dollars for its appeal.
