CoinVoice has learned that Tim Draper, founder of Draper Associates and a well-known investor, posted on X stating that when he first bought Bitcoin, the price was only $4 per coin. However, his investment was not driven by an understanding of the technology or foresight into the future, but by the idea that digital currencies could bring change to those who cannot use traditional banks.

Later, when US marshals auctioned 30,000 Bitcoins, he re-entered the market, bidding at $632 per coin (the market price at the time was $618), and won all nine auction lots. Despite the price dropping to $180 later, he persisted in holding, because he firmly believed that Bitcoin is not just an investment but a tool that "changes the game" and the rules of the world.
