Rotor: Accelerating Block Propagation Through Stake-Weighted Relay

The second major innovation is Rotor, which fundamentally restructures how blocks propagate across the network. Rather than traditional broadcast methods, Rotor implements a stake-weighted relay path—a system where validators with larger stakes participate in prioritized message dissemination.

This architectural change delivers impressive results. Under optimal bandwidth conditions, Rotor achieves message propagation latency as low as 18 milliseconds. This advancement directly supports the overall goal of the consensus mechanism upgrade to achieve near-instantaneous block finality.
