The biggest difference between science and superstition is that science can overturn itself at any time, arrive at new conclusions, and continue to wait to be overturned. Those things that can never be overturned, or have not been overturned for thousands of years, are closer to superstition. Science cannot be "proven" to be true, only falsified; superstition cannot be falsified, only continuously "proven."
