In the investment market, those who short: any negative news, bad messages, conspiracy theories, will automatically be attributed to "I was right to be bearish." Those who go long: any positive news, policy trends, rumors, emotional surges, will be interpreted as "the trend is on my side." The real danger is not being long or short, but lacking independent judgment and being led solely by emotions and stimuli. Being bullish or bearish is not scary; what’s scary is forming a conclusion first, then finding reasons, treating positions as logic, and messages as truth.
