An interesting observation about wealth in the entertainment industry. Apparently, the richest actor in the world is none other than Jami Gertz with an estimated net worth of $3 billion, but what surprises me the most is Brock Pierce with $2 billion. I would have never thought that he would be at the top instead of the classic Hollywood stars.
Regarding traditional names, Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Harrison Ford are all somewhere around $300-400 million. It's surprising that an actor considered one of the highest earners makes less than some others. Keanu Reeves has $380 million, which is quite a solid result.
An interesting comparison is with Bollywood — Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Akshay Kumar have significantly less than their American counterparts, even though they are equally famous. This shows the scale of income differences between Hollywood and other film industries. The richest actor in the world earns from very diverse sources — not just from film roles.
