Just saw that Japan's average salary for full-time workers hit 340,600 yen last year—another record high. That's the fourth year in a row they've been breaking their own records, which is pretty wild. The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare dropped the numbers, and it's up 3.1% from 2024, excluding overtime and bonuses. What caught my eye is that we're seeing consistent wage growth around 3% now for the second straight year. Usually Japan's wage growth is pretty sluggish, so this streak of salary increases is actually notable. Wonder if this trend keeps going or if it finally plateaus.
