Many people have been talking about the EdgeX exchange recently, but very few have explained what exactly it is.

It is incubated by Amber Group, a company with experience in both traditional finance and crypto trading. Technically, it uses StarkEx's ZK-Rollup to process transactions on-chain, ensuring security with zero-knowledge proofs. Price data comes from independent oracles, making it more difficult to manipulate than ordinary exchanges.

Their fund pool is called eLP, which is not a simple market maker model and will automatically hedge risks. They have also prepared an insurance fund to cushion losses during severe market fluctuations.

Looking at their plans, the next step is to upgrade the exchange into a modular financial chain, allowing for the free addition of trading and market-making functions. The team consists of people with both crypto backgrounds and those coming from traditional finance, and the risk control is done quite solidly.
