Layer 2 solutions, while addressing the throughput issue, what is the cost? Liquidity is fragmented, and user experience becomes more complicated, which many people overlook.
In contrast, multi-chain consensus mechanisms at the Layer 1 level can achieve true scalability, rather than shifting the problem to users to handle. The advantages of a single unified network architecture are obvious—no fragmentation traps, a complete ecosystem, and a smoother user operation experience. An efficient Layer 1 design indeed can support the future better than a bunch of scattered Layer 2 solutions.

L2 definitely makes things more convenient, but all that mess with cross-chain bridging... it's really a nightmare.

That's right, the L2 solutions are just a temporary fix and don't address the root cause, making the user experience even worse.

Haha, that's so true. All those cross-chain bridges on L2 are really a nightmare. After three years, we'll still have to go back to L1 for unification.

L2 really just passes the problem to the users, that's correct.
